Ugolnaya station is the western border of Trudovoe settlement. Russian people settled in this area only in 1890 when the railway was constructed. Earlier it had been inhabited by Korean people.
Ugolnaya is a passenger and cargo station. Trains to Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Artyom and some other towns go through this junction station. It accepts all kinds of trains such as commuter rails, passenger and high-speed trains. Nowadays the station combines 12 rail tracks.
It has had its modern name since 1908. Earlier it was called Razyezd 30th versta.
